Scarface is planning to release a new album entitled ‘Deeply Rooted’. It will hit the streets on September 4th. This will be his 12th studio album.  

 In 2008, Scarface dropped his 11th album ‘Emeritus’ on Rap-a-lot-Records. At the time he did state it would be his last one. I guess things have changed in the last 7 years! 

On his new forthcoming album, the Houston rapper has 15 tracks, and has features from Nas, Cee-Lo and others. 

For you Geto Boys fans, Scarface has stated he will not be doing another album with Bushwick Bill and Willie D. What a shame! He states ‘that’s a page in history that is closed for me’.  
 In 2012 The Source magazine ranked Scarface #16 on their list of the top 50 lyricists of all time! That’s some achievement.
