Toy Gangster: Hasbro buys Death Row Records Catalogue

Not for the first time Infamous record Label Death Row Records has changed ownership.  The short lived but legendary labels catalogue has been somewhat bizarely purchased by Board game and Toy company Hasbro which brags revenues of approximately $5.12 billion.

At its peak the labels roster consisted of some the biggest gangster rap acts of the 90s including Dr. Dre, Snoop Doggy Dogg, The Dogg Pound and the late, Tupac Shakur.

Hasbro is famous for toys such as My Little Pony, Power Rangers and Mr Potato head aswell as the board game Monopoly purchased eOne entertainment for $4 billion who had previously aquired Death Rows music in 2013.

The news comes at the same time that Death Row Co-Founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris is set to be released from Prison after serving a sentance of over 30 years.
